Welcome to the JReviews Demo Site!

The site runs Joomla 1.7 + JReviews with Everywhere, GeoMaps and PaidListings add-ons, and uses iReview Joomla template.

Site Structure

• City Guide - This directory shows how to create a city guide type of site with GeoMaps Add-on, similar to Yelp or Trip Advisor. The directory is divided into 4 main categories (Hotel & Travel, Food & Drinks, Services and Art & Entertainment) with many subcategories. Category list pages use blogview layout with Google Map which follows as you scroll down the page. Business owners can claim the listings in the directory and visitors can submit inquiries to listing owners.
• Products Catalog - This directory shows how to create a product review type of site. Main categories are Computers, Electronics, Software and Games. Category list pages use thumbview layout. Using Advanced Search Module, you can create powerful product search forms as shown on category pages. Besides search forms, product categories have JReviews Fields Module and JReviews Range module to allow quick product filtering based on product Brand or Price Range. On the listing detail pages you can see "Buy from Amazon" button which can be created using a custom field, and by setting up your Amazon affiliate ID, you can earn commission for sales you send to Amazon. Using this example you can create custom buttons for other similar affiliate programs.
• Movies & TV Shows - This directory shows how to create a movie database type of site similar to IMDB. There are 5 main categories: Movies, TV Shows, Stars, TV Networks, Movie Studios. The category list pages for Movies and TV Shows use Tableview layout. Listings in this directory show you the powerful listing relations features in JReviews. On TV Shows listing detail page, you can see widgets for "Similar TV Shows", "TV Shows from the same network" and "About TV Network". On the listing detail pages you can see how to use JReviews custom field to embed YouTube videos for movie trailers.
• Classifieds - This directory shows how to create a classifieds type of site. We created Real Estate and Used Cars categories as examples. Categories in this directory use PaidListings Add-on and you can see how to use the add-on to charge users for listing submissions. On the classifieds pages you can see "Classifieds" menu with links to pricing plan details and a link to "My Account" page where users can see their listings, orders and other info.
• Events - This directory shows how to create a site for Events (we used Sport Events as example). Besides events, this directory contains Venue categories and we linked them together using the "Listing Relations" feature in JReviews. On every event listing detail page, you can see information regarding the venue, and the data is coming from the "parent" venue listing. Each venue listing shows a list of all events that will occur there. Venues also use GeoMaps Add-on. The category and listing detail pages for events and venues use styles from the "Compact" JReviews theme.
• News - This directory shows you how to use JReviews for content that doesn't require user or editor reviews, this is very useful for News and Blog type of sites. For the News categories we enabled only comments and we created custom fields for links to news sources, tags and videos. The News also use styles from the "Compact" JReviews theme.
